ABC Cartridge Type

The ABC Cartridge Type Fire Extinguisher from Krunal Engineering Works is a heavy-duty, high-performance safety device designed for demanding industrial and commercial environments. Built with a robust mild steel body, this extinguisher is specifically engineered to handle Class A, B, and C fires, providing a versatile defense against solid combustibles, flammable liquids, and gases.

Unlike stored-pressure models, this unit utilizes an internal or external gas cartridge (Nitrogen or $CO_2$) as the propellant. This design is highly preferred in industrial settings because the main cylinder remains unpressurized until the moment of use, significantly reducing the risk of pressure loss over time. The extinguisher is manufactured to meet rigorous safety standards, ensuring a minimum effective discharge of 85% and reliable performance in temperatures ranging from +20°C to +55°C. With its durable construction and easy-to-service design, the ABC Cartridge Type is a long-lasting safety investment. It is particularly effective for large-scale facilities where quick on-site refilling and extreme reliability are critical to operational safety.

Frequently asked questions.

It refers to the classes of fire the unit can extinguish: Class A: Solid combustibles (wood, paper, plastic). Class B: Flammable liquids (petrol, oil, paints). Class C: Flammable gases (LPG, CNG, acetylene).

Cartridge-type extinguishers are preferred in harsh industrial environments because the cylinder is not under constant pressure. This makes them less prone to leaking over time. Additionally, they can be refilled and recharged on-site much more easily after use.

Since cartridge models usually don't have a pressure gauge, you must check the weight of the internal CO₂/Nitrogen cartridge during your monthly inspection. If the cartridge weight has dropped below the marked limit, it must be replaced.

While the powder is non-conductive and safe for electrical fires, it does leave a fine dust residue. For extremely sensitive electronics like high-end servers, a Clean Agent or CO₂ extinguisher is usually preferred to avoid the cleanup process.
