Water Stored Pressure Type

The Water Stored Pressure Type fire extinguisher by Krunal Engineering Works is a fundamental safety tool designed for the rapid suppression of fires involving solid combustible materials. Manufactured in strict compliance with IS 15683 standards, this unit features a durable mild steel body and is specifically engineered to handle Class A fire risks. By utilizing water as the primary extinguishing agent, it provides a cost-effective and highly reliable solution for environments where wood, paper, and textiles are the main hazards. The primary firefighting mechanism of this extinguisher is its exceptional cooling capacity. When discharged, the high-pressure water stream penetrates deep into the burning material, rapidly absorbing heat and bringing the temperature below the ignition point. This is crucial for porous materials like wood or fabric, where deep-seated embers can remain hot and cause the fire to restart. The water not only extinguishes the surface flames but also soaks the core of the fuel to ensure the fire is completely neutralized.

For ease of use and maintenance, this model utilizes a constant pressure design. The extinguishing agent is stored under permanent pressure with Nitrogen or CO₂ gas, allowing for immediate discharge the moment the handle is squeezed. A built-in pressure gauge provides a clear visual indicator of the unit’s operational status, ensuring that safety officers can verify readiness at a glance. The internal surface of the mild steel cylinder is treated with an anti-corrosive lining to prevent rust, ensuring the water remains clean and the unit stays functional for years. These extinguishers are ideally suited for a wide range of commercial and residential applications, including offices, schools, and warehouses. They offer a discharge range of 3 meters, allowing the operator to maintain a safe distance while attacking the base of the fire. With a minimum effective discharge of 85%, the unit ensures that almost the entire volume of water is utilized, providing maximum efficiency in emergency situations where every second and every drop of water counts.

Applications

Designed for multiple applications across different sectors, including:

Get in touch
Agriculture & Rural Areas

Highly effective for fires in dry grass, hay, or wooden fencing where the fire can be deep-seated and difficult to soak with other agents.

Textile & Garment Industries

Specifically effective for fires involving fabrics, cotton, and clothing, as the water cools the fibers to prevent deep-seated smoldering.

Warehouses & Packaging Units

deal for facilities storing cardboard boxes, wooden pallets, and paper-based packaging materials.

Residential Buildings

Provides essential protection for living rooms and bedrooms against fires involving curtains, carpets, and upholstery.

Frequently asked questions.

Since the extinguishing agent is water, it is susceptible to freezing. Storing the unit in sub-zero temperatures could turn the water to ice, rendering the extinguisher useless and potentially damaging the internal components.

The "Stored Pressure" model features a pressure gauge. Regularly check to ensure the needle is in the Green Zone. If the needle moves to Red, the unit needs immediate servicing.

The rating describes the extinguishing potential. A 4A rating (typical for a 9 Lt. unit) can extinguish twice as much Class A fire as a 2A rating (typical for a 6 Lt. unit). Large warehouses with high stacks of cardboard require higher ratings or more frequent placement.

The constant pressure design means the extinguisher is always "ready to fire." Unlike cartridge-operated models where you have to wait a second for the gas to pressurize the tank, a stored pressure unit discharges the water immediately upon squeezing the handle, saving vital seconds in an emergency.
